Last month, students from the Léman Stock Market Club participated in the Spark Business Academy Spark Inter-宝博体育 Challenge, which took place at Avenues, the World 宝博体育. Michael Douglas (4th), August Shapiro (4th) and Joseph Candelaria (5th) tied for first place in the competition which included students from Avenues, Dalton, and Heschel. The young investors were asked to create a stock portfolio, analyze their portfolio over time, and present on why they made their decisions. The Léman Stock Market Club, part of the Léman+ afterschool program, teaches young investors the ins and outs of the stock market through a simulated tool which uses real-time market data.
